Gordy has also been the opening act for Beach Boys, Kenny Chesney, Glen Campbell, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. His Baby Boomer Humor from hair loss, to 8 tracks, to the challenge of raising kids is suitable for all audiences. Now after a 20 year hiatus from music, this all new Musical Comedy show is on the road again. Gary spent most of the 70's living in Nashville and has performed with many National Recording Artists including regular appearances on The Grand Old Opry. Gary was also a Songwriter for Mel Tillis Enterprise and a Recording Artist with "Sugarfoot Rag" and "Is Anybody going to San Antone ", This one man Musical Comedy Show features many songs with hilarious stories and jokes along the way.

He appeared quite frequently on Public Radio's A Prairie Home Companion during the show's formative years and for the last quarter century he has worked his cowboy magic throughout 44 states and ten countries.
